Many of our guests at Filey Bay Direct enjoy their stay so much they want to come back with friends and family. I frequently get asked to recommend properties next to each other or a short distance apart. This blog post should be helpful to those wanting multiple accommodation.
Next door neighbours
Prospect Cottage (sleeps 4) and Anchor Down (sleeps 4-6) are next door neighbours on Seaford Avenue. Both have a large communal lawn and boules court area behind. Prospect has the addition of a balcony too, so these 2 cottages are ideal for families with young children wanting to spend time together.
Sea Urchins beach house (sleeps 4-5), The Blue Anchor (sleeps 4) and Salty Dog (sleeps 4) are all next door to each other on Blue Anchor Road. These are ideal for couples or families, each with allocated driveway parking, and close to the playground and amenities.
Skylark (sleeps 4-5) and Luna Azul (sleeps 6-8) are 2 more beach houses next door to each other on Blue Anchor Road with a lovely sunny back lawned area ideal for socialising and a game of boules or badminton. Again, with allocated parking, and Skylark has the addition of an EV charger which either property is welcome to use if booked together. There is also Blue Moon (sleeps 4-5) just across the road from these properties.
Blue Bay (sleeps 4-6), Sand Dollar (sleeps 4) and Blue Anchor Retreat (sleeps 4) are again on Blue Anchor Road and all next door to each other. Set around a boules court, this is a lovely setting for all meeting together and having a BBQ.
Sea Urchins cottage (sleeps 4-5), Sandy Shores (sleeps 4) and Brigg End View (sleeps 4) are 3 stunning detached cottages all with balconies and sea views. Each has a parking bay, 2 bedrooms with ensuites, and ideally situated for the beach path. Nearby are Bayside (sleeps 10, pet-free), Joe’s beach house (sleeps 4-5, pet-free), Sophie Beach Hut (sleeps 4) with EV charger, Silversands House (sleeps 8-10), and Sailaway Cottage (sleeps 8-10) so we have plenty of options in this part of the resort.
Close neighbours
You may want to be close, but not quite next door to your friends and family, so these are some further options to you through Filey Bay Direct.
With one house between, we have Mariners (sleeps 4) and Oreo Shack beach house (pet-free, sleeps 4-5), and a few houses away is Bayside (sleeps 10). All are set around the childrens’ playground, so the grown-ups can chat whilst the children safely play.
Also with one house in between are Seahorse Lodge (sleeps 6) and Prospect Lodge (sleeps 6). Both on the meadows development, with open countryside views, these properties offer a peaceful setting and large decks to all sit together one, as each has sofa seating and dining seating so plenty of room for all. Just a few doors away there is also The Lake House (sleeps 4) and a bit further is Lakeside Retreat (sleeps 4) with EV charger.
On Woodspring Way, we have Caramel Cottage (sleeps 6) with large private grounds, and nearby Sea Air apartment (sleeps 4), again ideal for a family needing 2 properties but with the option to all sit out at Caramel Cottage. Just around the corner from Caramel is Norman’s Nook (sleeps 6, coming March 2024), and 12 Green Close (sleeps 8).
On Sunrise Drive, we have a few larger cottages – Anchors Away (sleeps 7), Pebble Place (sleeps 6), and Bay Tree Cottage (sleeps 9) and a couple of smaller cottages nearby – Seaside (sleeps 4) and Sea Esta (sleeps 5).
