All our properties are on The Bay Holiday Resort, Filey. The resort is generally very flat, but there are limited drop kerbs, and the path down to the beach is very steep in parts.
We hope we have something suitable for your needs, and are happy to advise if you wish to call Paula on 07962150258 or email paula@fileybaydirect.com.
You may wish to consider the following properties if you have any mobility concerns:
Seahorse Lodge, Prospect Lodge, Alana Bay, Luna Azul, Blue Moon, and Skylark are in our opinion the best options if you or one of your party are a wheelchair user. All have a wide parking bay just outside (except for Alana Bay which has a standard width space), a smooth path to the kitchen door, and at least one wet rooms (except for Skylark which has a very low threshold shower tray with a suction grab rail). They are not adapted, so may not suit all. We provide a shower chair in Prospect Lodge and we have grab rails (suction) available to hire in the others.
The Lake House, Lakeside Retreat, Lakeside Escape, Luna’s Lodge and Sophie’s beach house all have easy access to the door (smooth paths), but are compact properties, so not suitable for a wheelchair inside but may suit those who walk with mobility aids.
We have other 2 bedroom lodges and beach houses all on one level, but these have sleeper paths which may be difficult to manoeuvre on with a wheelchair or mobility scooter.
We have some cottages with level access and a downstairs bedroom and/or bathroom – these are as follows:
Bayside (sleeps 10) – one downstairs kingsize bedroom with ensuite toilet/shower (large walk-in shower with low level step in)
Sailaway Cottage (sleeps 10) – one downstairs kingsize bedroom with ensuite toilet/shower (cubicle with a step to get in)
Bempton View (sleeps 10) – one downstairs kingsize bedroom with ensuite toilet/shower (cubicle with a step to get in)
Norman’s Nook (sleeps 6) – one downstairs double bedroom and downstairs toilet
Whilst 12 Green Close (sleeps 8) and Bay Tree House (sleeps 9) also have downstairs bedrooms, they do have steps to get inside. Silversands House has 3 downstairs bedrooms (one with a walk-in shower) but the living space is all upstairs. Anchor Down (sleeps 4-6) and Family Tides (sleeps 5-6) both have sofa beds and a downstairs toilet so may suit some guests.
